Need help for programming isometric city builder

I made the game Pixelpolis Neon. I put quite some effort in the pixel art and I had a Fiverr developer do the Godot programming. The game is published on Steam. I thought of it like a sandbox game, but players are expecting more gameplay/challenge in the game. I came up with some ideas to make it more interesting to play and I am open for your ideas!
